Mohammed is currently the Managing Director and Vice Chairman of Green Coast Enterprises. He is responsible for the overall strategy and capital allocation across the group that employs 1,100 people across the GCC in manufacturing, real estate and investments. Before leading the family business, Mohammed was with the leveraged finance and high yield group of ABN AMRO in London, originating and executing senior, mezzanine and high yield offerings for private equity clients.
Mohammed served as independent director on various boards including Emaar Industries pjsc, Emirates Money Consumer Finance LLC and Bank Islam (Malaysia). He is also the Chairman of American Honours College in Dubai and the Vice-Chairman and founding partner of Convenience Arabia, the GCC operator of the Circle K brand of convenience stores. Mohammed holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and is an active member of the Dubai chapter of the Young Presidents Organization.
David has more than 15 years of industry and consulting experience. He has built his industry knowledge from experience in general management, business development and project management across Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. He has consulted across several sectors including petrochemicals, metals & mining, and energy and renewables. David also has specific expertise in infrastructure projects (PPP, BOT) and energy and utilities (water, power generation, renewables, clean technologies). David previously worked in management for Alstom Power, as a strategy consultant for Oliver Wyman, and in business development for the MENA region for Mubadala Development Company. He was active in advising Green Coast Enterprises before being appointed CEO of Corys Environment and Director at SirajPower.
Prior to joining Akuo Energy, Laurent spent 15 years with Total involved in the development and construction of international energy projects in Europe, Iran, Indonesia and the Middle East. Laurent moved to the renewable energy sector in 2010 to lead, within the frame of a JV with MASDAR, the construction of Shams 1, the first concentrated solar energy power plant in the Middle East and the largest worldwide at the time of its commissioning. After 3 years of developing the activities of SunPower in the Middle East - closing significant deals in Morocco and Qatar, developing a very large Solar project in Egypt, Laurent joined Akuo Energy in 2015. He is based in Dubai and leads the development of Akuo’s activities in the Middle East as well as Akuo Energy Services’ (AES – Akuo Energy' subsidiary dedicated to EPC activities) operations. Laurent holds a BS of Ecole Normale Supérieure (Paris / France) and a MS of Paris Tech (Paris / France - Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Techniques Avancées).
Nour has more than 10 years of extensive work experience in the GCC and Middle East region in the fields of engineering and project management.
As a seasoned professional, she has worked as an engineer on low-and medium-voltage electrical systems, and she has handled different kinds of projects related to oil and gas, contracting (MEP), industrial applications and renewable energy.
Ayaz brings years of hands-on experience that he acquired while working in multiple industries across the USA, the UAE and India. He holds a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from California State University and a bachelor’s of engineering from Mumbai. With a proven record in engineering and business development, he has experience in manufacturing, product design and development, project management and execution (EPC), and solar PV. Ayaz's problem-solving, innovative and growth mindset and his delivery focus are key to his current position with SirajPower. He is a DEWA-certified solar PV expert and is one of our dedicated engineering resources for the company's growth in the solar rooftop business in the UAE.
Giulia has more than 7 years of experience in the renewable energy sector, as Project Development Manager.
